The Body of Night

The release:
A sigh for sleep,
But iris’ twinkle sunbeams.
The body weeps,
Heavy with yearning
But mind twitches stars into existence.
The fingers curl,
Soft cotton suffocates,
But the inhale will not cease.
I seek to sleep, sleep, sleep
Still the sheep beep with agitation
And the night encapsulates my attention.
