Someday Alice

That Way-

No This way-

Oh Alice when someday does come

The White Rabbit,

You,

and I

Can find these memories in the nook of the signs

This Way

and That Way,

Up,

Down,

and No Way,

Old Way,

New Way,

Someday!

We will face these signs the right way

And find our right way in this Wonderland

The Queen with have no hand in our cake

We will eat our share and more until the tea is cold

And we shout, “Now I Am Full!”

But for now we go this way and that way

We go all ways and no way

Until heads spin and eyes grey

The color of our hair appears the other way

Which way? I have forgotten the pathway

We have taken and meant to tread

Which way are we going Alice?

I seem to have lost my sense

And so it seems you as well,

The signs have all gone

They must nap so I may read them clearly in the morning

Perhaps I should sleep as well

In the morning I may tread with new eyes

Witness the trees with blue skies

Follow the bees with sting proof “whys”

Who ever told me to follow the signs?
