What Must the World Say

The voices of many collide into catastrophe
Sing symphonies of busted blow horns
My ears bleed but if I show they may scream more
So I tape up my wounds and stand up straight and take the gusts
Because I must
But I nearly topple over
I have urges to sob in my chest, my eyes, my breath
Too many to account within my own
My books are spilled
The words tumbling about
I have run out of ink in my brain
I no longer hear what the world must say
What must I say
My mind has gone blank
The braveness has drained out of me
As the song plays like a sick imitation of heaven
Answers
I wished for answers
And now I have them
Which do I choose when contradiction stirs confusion rather than opinion
I hear
I hear
The many
I hear
And yet my mind is blank
My ears feel numb
My question lies without solution
What must the world say when I can say nothing
And what does nothing say
