Truly

Who follows poetry

Into the night

In modern day

The lights will remain

Yet books of lyrics will refrain from the spot light

For novels, audiobooks, music, tv say all

Over poetry

Or so we are convinced

But poetry unhinges the soul of this world

More people should swim in it's embrace

I fear that that will never impress itself

I do not mean to complain really

But I write these words out of need

Not just to entertain

It may seem silly

But for one night choose poetry

And see how the world changes
