How I Happen

I happen like one happens upon a shooting star:

Sudden

Bright

And far beyond the reach of any man;

But then again

I also happen in tries

As most do

Mistake + reflect + try = me in a state of happening

And oh how I happen often

But sometimes I happen without sound

Or movement

Or regard

Regardless, what matters is that I happen at all

On occasion though, I like a good non-happening

Where I let my essence rest

Happening requires quite a lot of a person

So sometimes I just need to not

So I may happen more strongly when I may

Either way I happen

And when I do I happen to the best of my abilities
